Yes, I know it’s a shot in the dark.

Once upon a time, I contributed to this blog. Heck, I even created it!

But things, such as they, get in the way. Now, I want to call on subscribers who once frequented these parts to beseech you, implore you, to check out my new blog – Irish Slice of Madrid – and podcast.

A New Blog, A New Madrid

In the past few years, I have started a walking tour around an old neighbourhood of Madrid, interviewed three members of Hans Zimmer’s orchestra, built an audioguide app and created this new blog. I’m also working on an audiobook.

No rest for the wicked, as they say.

And I say I, but I mean we. I am Irish, and Meri is Spanish. We are business partners and together, in the blog and podcast, we explore the deep links between Ireland and Spain, through language and myth, via culture and music.

If you subscribe to our blog, you will see chats with dancers and footballers, surprising info and the odd dash of poetry. We have covered the Basque language, Irish immigrants, Spanish NGOs and so much more.

The Obligatory Call To Action

We contribute regularly to the blog and podcast. So, unlike this blog, I won’t let it fall away. In return, you’ll get to see every inch of Madrid, from a variety of keen-eyed perspectives.

Follow the link and feel the beating heart of the Spanish capital!
